Passport Tips

Your visa application might get rejected if there is even one mistake with your passport. This happens a lot with passports. Before you apply make sure:

  • Passport validity is more than three months after your travel finishes.
  • It must have at least two blank pages.
  • It shouldn’t have been issued in the past ten years. The issued passport before that won’t get accepted.

Documents needed to Present at the UK Port of Entry

Applicants have to show a few documents to the border control police at the UK port of entry.

You can get your documents checked through the European Union or EEA channel if you are EU/EEA national. You will only need your passport or ID. Adults must accompany minors.

In case you are not EU/EEA nationals, you need the following documents to show at the UK port of entry:

  • Valid Passport.
  • Landing Card. Your carrier will give you this. You need to completer it before you reach the border control.
  • Visa (if applicable).
