Short-term, work-related travel to Australia is permitted by visa subclass 408 holders. Eligibility is based on the type of work being performed, such as research, religious work, or sports, with sponsorship from a recognized Australian organization being a common requirement. The application is submitted online with the required documentation attached. There is no provision for renewing this visa, but a new one can be requested. Those looking for a steady paycheck should look elsewhere. Additional travel restrictions are in effect due to COVID-19, so it is important to check the most up-to-date guidelines. If you need a visa to work for an extended period of time, look into other options, and if you need specific advice, consult official resources or immigration lawyers.
