Spanish Consulate in Algeria is taking visa applications. 

The citizens of Algeria can visit the Spanish consulate in the country for visa processing. March 20, 2022, the visa processing is open to the local people.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Spanish officials decided to withhold the visa processing to reduce or control the spread and risk of the pandemic. 

The statistics on Covid-19 in Spain are a bit shocking. According to WHO, “11,787,004 cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Spain since January 2020”.Also, ” 104,036 people in Spain lost their lives due to the virus”.  So the Spanish officials had every right to stop visa processing or restrict entrance. 

With vaccination improvement and the low rates of infection, the officials have decided to ease the restrictions. So it is with the Eu countries. They have opened their borders to foreign visitors.
