The first Mexico temporary resident card is valid for one year. After that, foreigners can apply and renew their resident cards for one to three years. After four years, Foreigners become eligible to apply for Permanent residency.

After landing, applicants also have to pay for the Tourist Card. A Tourist Card costs from 15 to 30 US Dollars.
