There are two major categories for Germany integration course as follows:

Language course

If you lack language proficiency, you must participate in a language course. There are two stages for the language course:

Beginner  

Providing that you are a beginner in German, you need 400-600 hours of classes. You will participate in classes of 45 minutes. By the end, of course, you will reach the B1 level. 

Advanced 

Advanced learners need 300 of clas. What they will learn is is the professional level.

Orientation course

The required time for the integration course is 100 hours. If you take part in the course, you have to take the full classes.

Germany Integration course Application Process

The application process for a Germany Integration course is as follows:

Berechtigungsschein

Berechtigungsschein is the certificate you have to achieve from the officials. Where you can get it depends on your nationality:

Non-EU residents 

Visit the nearest local foreigners’ registration to achieve the certificate. 

EU residents 

Get in touch with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) to receive the certificate. 

Course provider

Now you have to find those who provide the integration course. You could find one through the BAMF website. However, remember to find a provider that is nearest to your address. 

Pick a course

Get in touch with the course provider. You could contact them by mail, phone, or even get there in-person. Choices yours. Ask about the available courses, fees, hours, etc. Ask about anything you deem fit.  

Enrollment

Gather the requirements the course provider demands. Submit everything to them and register in the course. You should ask, of course, the provider’s advice for the steps to follow. 

Participation

Take part in the course and classes. Do not forget to obey the rules. Try to comprehensive everything and catch up with the course. 

Test

When you completed the course, take a test. If you pass it, you will receive the Zertifikat Integrationskurs certificate. 

The certificate provides a few benefits to you. One of them is that you need it to apply for Germany citizenship. 

How Much is Required to Pay for a Germany Integration course?

The fee for a Germany integration course depends on:

• Your case 
• The course you participate in
• The year you received your residence permit. It is different whether you got the permit before 2005 or after it. 

Remember that the fee for an integration course is by the hour. It could range from 1.55-1.95 EUR.
